Michigan Golf Live – the State’s leading golf radio and
tv programs – is going to a “big league” new home.
The television version of the program, MGL-TV, will begin airing Saturday
mornings at 11 a.m. on Fox Sports Net Detroit (FSN Detroit).
In addition, the half-hour show will be replayed
Sundays at 9 a.m. and Thursdays at 12:30 p.m.
“This move
to FSN Detroit allows us to shine the spotlight on our state's top
golf destinations, reaching almost 4 million homes,” said Executive
Producer and MGL host Bill Hobson. “We're excited to showcase
the beauty and challenge of the top courses and resorts.”
MGL began as
a syndicated golf radio show in April of 2000. Now in its seventh
season, the show is broadcast live every Saturday morning from 8-10
a.m. and carried on 12 affiliates, covering every major metropolitan
market in the state. The show is on location each week from the
top golf destinations around the state and around the country.
FSN Detroit
is carried on every cable and satellite affiliate, in more than
3.6 million homes in Michigan, Northern
Ohio, and Northern Indiana.
“We are
impressed with the production quality of the show along with the
show's primary focus on Michigan courses. We're excited to bolster
our line-up with a quality golf program that is reflective of our
region,” said Lisa Giles, Program Director at FSN Detroit.
“Our
goal at MGL is to grow and celebrate the game,” added Hobson.
“Being a part of the FSN Detroit family allows us to reach
out to golfers in three states and share the joy of America's best
golf state!”
MGL-TV will
debut on Saturday, June 3 with its show featuring Arcadia Bluffs.
MGL-TV can
also be viewed
online on the MGL-TV page.
Hosted by Hobson,
Jon Bloom, and Todd Arner, Michigan Golf Live
is a production of Hobson
