Michigan Golf Live (mgl) - the state's leading golf radio program -- begins its sixth season on April 2 with a live broadcast from the Great Lakes Athletic Club in Lake Orion, followed by an April 9th broadcast from Augusta National - site of The Masters.

MGL is carried on 11 stations, covering every major metropolitan market in the state. The show airs from 8-10 a.m. every Saturday for 26 weeks - April through September - and is on location every week from fablulous destinations across the state and around the nation.

MGL Executive Producer Bill Hobson has announced the addition of another affiliate to the MGL network as WSGW 790 AM of Saginaw will broadcast the radio show this season.

"We're ecstatic that WSGW has joined our family of affiliates," said Hobson, who launched MGL in 2000. "They have a fantastic tradition and a tremendous signal that will add nearly half a million potential listeners to our network. We can't wait to meet the golf crazies in the Saginaw/Bay City/Midland area!"

WSGW Station Manager, Floyd Evans, is also excited about the addition of MGL to the WSGW program lineup. "I've worked with the MGL guys for a number of years and can't wait to bring their unique humor and insight into the game of golf to the WSGW audience," he stated.

The MGL network includes: WBBL 1340 AM, Grand Rapids; WDTW 1310 AM, Detroit; WCCW 1310 AM, Traverse City; WVFN 730 AM, Lansing; WTRX 1330 AM, Flint; WIDG 940 AM, St. Ignace; WKLA 1450 AM, Ludington; WMTE 1340 AM, Manistee; WTKA 1050 AM, Ann Arbor; and WQSN 1660 AM, Kalamazoo.

In addition to the weekly radio show, MGL launched a weekly half-hour TV show on Jan. 1 on the Comcast Regional Sports Network. The show airs three times per week: Saturdays at 11 a.m.; Mondays at 1:30 p.m.; and Thursdays at 7:30 a.m. and can also be viewed online at www.mgltv.com.
