Golf Live (mgl) - the state's leading golf radio program - makes
its first ever visit to to Shanty Creek Resort for a live broadcast
this Saturday morning from 8:00-10:00 a.m. With four championship
courses surrounding the beautiful resort, Shanty Creek is one of
the premiere golf destinations in the state.
"We're excited to be going to Shanty, not only to celebrate
the excellent golf, but also to help spread the word that the resort
is running at full strength and ready for golfers from all over
to come for a visit," said MGL Executive Producer Bill
Hobson.
Along with special guests from Shanty Creek, MGL will also feature
the hottest player in the state -- Michael Harris. Last weekend
Harris captured the title at the Bay Mills Open in dramatic fashion,
chipping in three times on the final 9 holes. Coupled with his victory
in the Michigan Open earlier this season, Harris and his marvelous
short game have enjoyed an unbeatable season.
Listeners will also enjoy a follow up to the interesting case of
Lou Panesi. Featured earlier this season on MGL, Panesi sued his
North Carolina golf club for providing inferior practice range balls.
His case drew national attention and we'll update the case on Saturday's
show.
Great prizes will also be up for grabs during the weekly BD’s
Mongolian BBQ Trivia Challenge.
MGL radio is carried on 11 stations,
covering every major metropolitan market in the state. The show
airs from 8-10 a.m. every Saturday for 26 weeks - April through
September - and is on location every week from fablulous destinations
across the state and around the nation. Click
here to listen to the program live on your computer.
A new episode of MGL-TV makes its debut this week as the crew visits
Arcadia Bluffs -- one of Golf Digest's Top 10 Courses in America.
Join host Bill Hobson for this tour of the most visually stunning
course in the state. Complete with live bagpipe music, aerial views
from MGL-TV's "Fairway One" chopper, and the authentic
feel of golf's original home, this edition of MGL-TV promises to
be one you'll long remember.
MGL-TV
is carried four times per week across the state on Comcast Local
Sports -- Saturdays at 11 a.m.; Sundays at 10 a.m.; Mondays at 1:30
p.m.; and Thursdays at 7:30 a.m. and can also be viewed online on
the MGL-TV page.
Hosted by Hobson,
Jon Bloom, and Todd Arner, Michigan Golf Live
is a production of Hobson
Media Enterprises, and is presented by the 2005
Buick Open and King
Par Golf.
