Golf Live (mgl) - the state's leading golf radio program -- examines
the ongoing trial of the tragic plane crash that took the lives
of Payne Stewart and four others in October of 1999. MGL will broadcast
live from The
Medalist Golf Club in Marshall, Saturday morning from 8:00—10:00.
“With the US Open returning to Pinehurst, I was reminded of
the compelling drama that unfolded back in ‘99 when Payne
won the title,” says MGL Executive Producer Bill
Hobson. “But that thrill didn’t last nearly
long enough as Payne was taken from us in a most surreal plane crash.
Who would have thought that the court proceeding was still going?
His wife and children were in court testifying as recently as a
couple of weeks ago. The whole scenario is rather unsettling, and
we’ll take a closer look at it on Saturday.”
MGL radio is carried on 11 stations,
covering every major metropolitan market in the state. The show
airs from 8-10 a.m. every Saturday for 26 weeks - April through
September - and is on location every week from fablulous destinations
across the state and around the nation. Click
