Golf Live (mgl) - the state's leading golf radio program -- will
examine the growing controversy surrounding the USGA’s apparent
desire to reign in the maximum distance a golf ball can travel,
during this week’s broadcast live from The
Meadows at Grand Valley State University
in Allendale this Saturday morning (April 30) from 8-10 a.m.
"A
startling story recently appeared in Golfweek magazine, and it has
the potential to greatly impact the game at every level—including
our statewide audience,” says MGL Executive Producer Bill
Hobson. “I have a feeling most amateur players
will express serious misgivings about any attempt to diminish the
distance they can hit the ball. And we don’t have to guess
for long what the reaction will be from the major ball manufacturers.
We’re bringing leading industry experts on the air to discuss
the story.”
In
addition to the distance rollback discussion, MGL makes its fourth
visit to The Meadows at GVSU, celebrating golf on the state’s
west side.
MGL radio
is carried on 11 stations, covering
every major metropolitan market in the state. The show airs from
8-10 a.m. every Saturday for 26 weeks - April through September
- and is on location every week from fablulous destinations across
the state and around the nation. Click
