Golf Live (mgl) - the state's leading golf radio program -- speaks
with PGA Tour player Arron
Oberholser about his first US Open competition, and previews
the 94th Michigan Amateur Championship coming next week to Muskegon
Country Club during this Saturday’s broadcast from Black
Forest & Wilderness Valley Golf Courses in Gaylord.
Oberholser
currently ranks 57th on the PGA Tour Money List and is competing
in his first US Open. A frequent guest on MGL, Arron will provide
MGL listeners with an “inside the ropes” analysis of
the Pinehurst course setup, pressure of competing in a major, and
the memorable scenes from his debut in the national championship.
“I’m excited to talk with Arron about his first foray
in to major competition,” says MGL Executive Producer Bill
Hobson. “Not only is he a fantastic player, but
Arron will someday be the top color analyst in golf broadcasting.
He’s not shy with words or wit and I’m certain our listeners
will enjoy his unique perspective on life at Pinehurst."
One week after the US Open, our state’s top amateur competition
will take place. The 94th Michigan Amateur Championship will be
held at the Muskegon Country Club. We’ll preview the competition
this Saturday and then broadcast live from MCC next week.
